Breakfast with Santa!

This past Saturday, we gathered all the girls up and went to the Junior High for Breakfast with Santa!  It was put on by the Rec center here in town and I thought was such a neat idea!  I worried it would be a mad house because most things here in town are, but it actually wasn't at all.  There was no line for Santa and he was just kinda wandering around hitting all the tables and greeting the kids.  It was totally free and had breakfast there for us too!  Nana and Papa met us there and we were all able to eat together.  When we went to see Santa, Emme RAN right up to him and hugged his leg so tight!  No fear at all!  This was a first year with no tears and the girls were so excited to get their picture taken with Santa!

After we ate and saw Santa they had a little kids music group perform and all the girls were mesmerized.  Coby kept trying to get them to leave and they weren't having it until it was all over!  I love this time of year with my family!

The Elf on the Shelf

Santa made a very special delivery to us the first part of December...When the box came, the girls were DYING to see what Santa had sent us.  It was torture waiting for Daddy to get home, but as soon as he walked in the door, we opened our package....and it was an ELF!!!  Mae had been raving about her friend Reagan's elf and Santa must have known because he sent us our own little girl elf to join us for the Christmas season!  The girls named her Trixie Bells and are just so in love with her!

After we got the package opened and the book read, we got online and registered her on the computer.  We got a cute little adoption certificate and a nice letter from Santa thanking us for adopting her...The girls were beyond thrilled!

We have had a BLAST waking up each morning wondering what Trixie has been up to while we were sleeping!  What a fun tradition this has been :)  Here are just a few of her wild antics:

Can't wait to see what Trixie comes up with next year!

SNOWED IN!

We got another CRAZY snowstorm and mid blizzard these three crazy girls (Lu, Reagan and Mae) decided it was perfect weather to go sledding in.  So they walked down to our little sledding hill for just a few minutes this time...and then it was hot cocoa time!

It snowed so much that night that about 5 something in the morning we got a phone call from the district saying that school was CANCELLED!  Wahoo!  I only remember maybe 2 days growing up where we actually got to miss school and I was SUPER excited to stay home with the girls ALL day, relax and PLAY IN THE SNOW!  We got all bundled up and head outside!

The snow was so deep that I would throw Emme in it and just her little head would be peeking out!  But she LOVED it!  I had to bribe her to come inside when the rest of us were done with the cold and ready to snuggle inside.
The fantasy was short lived and it was back to the grind the next day...What a fun day with my cute girls!

Stuff lately...

Here a few random pictures from November of our sweet girls!

Ever since Emme was a baby any article of clothing she found, she would just have to put on--and she still does it.  I find her wearing a pair of Coby's garment bottoms that she's pulled out of his drawer like a dress at least once a week...Apparently, Mae left her coat out one day and Em found it and decided to fashion a hunchback costume out of it!

Cute Mae posing for daddy to take some pix!

This was Emme at Thanksgiving while we were waiting to eat...Either she was REALLY hungry or just very unimpressed with the whole Thanksgiving deal...

We dropped the girls off at Nana and Papa's one day and we got this cute little text sent back to us...Poor Emme and Papa all tuckered out!  I don't know how he managed to get that girl to do that!

Frozen

We went to Ogden for Thanksgiving this year and while we were there we had a big girl cousin date to "Frozen" with Mae, Lu and Miya.  Emme and Aspy had to stay with Grandma Laurie so the rest of us could go.  Poor Emme had to miss out again, but she is just at the CRAZY WILD stage and a movie theatre is not a good combination with that!

The girls were so excited to go together that they couldn't even be separated for the short drive to the theatre--so Miya got to ride in our car :)

When we got there we got all of our snacks and settled in to watch the movie--which we TOTALLY LOVED!  Seriously, about the cutest movie I have seen in a LONG time--and the girls were mesmerized and laughed and laughed!  Mae even started singing out loud one of the songs from the movie--that she was hearing for the first time.
Love these cute cousins and so glad for the friendship that my kids and all their cousins have...they are some lucky girls!

First Snow!

We got our first batch of snow in the middle of November and it was a DOOZY!  The next day it was one of those sunny clear days and me and the girls took advantage of it and went to a little hill in our neighborhood to go sledding--and we had SO much fun!  Its a pretty small hill, but was still so much fun to slide down on our sleds and was the perfect slope for them walk back up themselves.  They must have gone down hundreds of times!

We finally called daddy who was home with our sleeping Emme and he ran down to join us for one run down the hill!

When I finally convinced the girls it was time to go, when we got home they still weren't done with the snow and insisted we make a snowman--and he was a pretty cute one!
I love having these fun times with the girls!  I am trying to take advantage with every moment that they want to hang out with me because I know too soon they will want to be with other people and I will miss out!  Love you girlies!

Chinese date with the big girls

Coby is not a huge fan of Chinese food...Lucky for me, Mae and Lu absolutely LOVE it--just like their momma!  So we decided to have a big girl date and I got to take them to my favorite Chinese restaurant here in town.  And they loved EVERY BIT of it...even using the chopsticks--in their own way.

We had such a nice time eating...hopefully little sis will love it as much as these two and she can go with us another time--when she has learned not to throw her food ;)

Crazy Hair Day

For Red Ribbon Week Mae's school had fun things they did all week long.  One day, it was Crazy Hair Day and this is what we decided on for Mae...

Lu thought it was WAY cool and did not want to be left out of the picture fun!

Grandma Laurie made a visit down that night and Mae made SURE to keep her hair in so she could show Grandma her CRAZY hair!  Mae loves participating in all the fun stuff her school does and I'm having a blast being a part of it.  Love ya kid!

All Hallows Eve

FINALLY it was Halloween!  Like I've said before, my girls ABSOLUTELY LOVE Halloween...it is probably our favorite holiday in our home.  This year for Halloween the girls dressed up as: Emme- a witch.  She followed her sisters tradition and fell madly in love with the show "Hocus Pocus" this year, so the costume seemed quite appropriate, and I still had the adorable one I used for both Mae and Lu lying around--bonus. Lucy- a cowgirl.  It took Lu a LONG time to finally figure out what she wanted to be, but she was thrilled with it in the end.  Mae- Deciding on a costume is serious business to Mae and she usually plans it out MONTHS (like 12) before and this year she decided to be Draculaura from her FAVORITE SHOW EVER "Monster High" and let me tell you, that wig was a PAIN!  But she was happy, so of course, I was happy!  We ended up hitting the rec center, our ward's Trunk or Treat and then a few houses in a neighborhood and the girls had an AWESOME time--even though it was freezing outside!  We were done by about 7:00, but when it comes to the cold, we are all a bunch of lightweights and that was good enough for us! Plus we had more than enough candy to get us by ;)

Kenna also chose a "Monster High" character, Frankie--and these two were pretty proud of themselves!

Coby was Garth from "Wayne's World" and the girls thought this was about the funniest thing ever!

All the grandkids all decked out!

By the end of the night Emme just HAD to wear dad's wig!

I went with a broken doll and the girls loved watching me put all this makeup on...
What a fun night!  Can't wait til next year...Mae has already begun the thought process as to what she will be next year...

Happy Halloween from the Coonradt's!
