School photos!

Mae's preschool did class photos and I couldn't happier with how cute they turned out!  She really is getting so big!  It is crazy to look back on pictures and realize they have changed so much right before you eyes...gosh.

I have to point out that in these group shots, the girl next to Mae in the brown lacy romper has become Mae's BFF!  This is Reagan and Mae just LOVES her!  She actually lives in our neighborhood and one day showed up at our door to play.  I have no idea how she knew we lived right by her, I for one, had no idea.  Since that day they have practically been inseparable and have grown so close.  I hope this friendship lasts  forever.

Oh Miss Mae....You are so beautiful inside and out.  I love you more than you will probably ever know.

Mae starts PRESCHOOL!

They always say it goes by too fast and they are right!  I literally cannot believe Mae is old enough for Preschool!  Still as the months have gone by when she leaves for school in the morning, it just doesn't seem right...where did the time go?   I really don't know... She looked sooooooooooooo unbelievably cute in her new school outfit!

Her school sent this home with her that day...CUTE!
Already I am soooooooooo proud of the person Mae is becoming!  She is one of the sweetest, most compassionate and SMART 4 year-olds I know!  I wonder every day how I got so lucky to be her mom... WAY TO GO MAE!  I know you will LOVE school!

PRE-PRESCHOOL FASHION SHOW!

In anticipation of Mae starting preschool (crazy right?) Pam and I took Mae shopping for some new school clothes!  When everyone was here for the party, Mae just HAD to show off her new digs and of course, you know she broke out some of her legendary poses!

Lu was feeling a little left out, so she too grabbed her little backpack and walked the runaway for a few pix of her own!

Can't believe how big they are getting!!!  There is NO WAY they should be this grown up!  This is the first of MANY school years...

Flaming Gorge

Since Grandma and Grandpa were here for the girls' birthday party, we were lucky enough to get to spend the weekend with them!  We took a drive up to Flaming Gorge and like anytime we are with our grandparents, LOVED it!

PARTY!

The big day was finally here!  What started out as a splash park party very quickly and frantically turned into a Jumpin and Jivin party when a thunderstorm rolled in!  BUT we still had a BLAST with our two birthday girls!

I love this sequence of shots of Lu and Averie...

Ave is cracking up at this shot...Luckily Lu didn't break her neck like it looks!
 And she sticks the landing!

Lu's "wee-corn" cake made by yours truly...
 Pile on the carousel!
and who doesn't LOVE pizza...definitely not Lu!
Guess Lu liked the cake!
 Ready...
 Set...
 GO!!!
Em's turn...
 YAY!
 Cake and milk=perfect world
 She is going for it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU TWO!!!  WHAT A BLAST WE HAD!!!

The big T-H-R-E-E!

Well, it happened.  Our "wild child", blondy-blue Lucy went ahead and turned 3 on me!  And true to form, she was the life of the party!

I gotta admit, sometimes I get a little kick out of actually waking the kids up on these special days because
without that, it would NEVER happen and then we'd never have these fun pix of them with sleepy eyes, but BIG smiles...makes me happy!
Even drowsy Mae had a smile for sis' birthday
Soon enough the sleep wore off as we broke into some presents!
 Holy bed-head!  *LOVE*
She's got crazy eyes!  She must be up to something!
 Gotta love this chick!
New bedding for a new bed (!)
 and a Scooby-Doo poster!

And so what if we put our candles in sausage patties...we like it that way!  Even Mae had to have one!
I love the deep preparation in this picture.
 This is pretty awesome...
TA-DA!

Later in the day we got Lu's new bed and picture all set up...E.T., Scooby-Doo and a "wee-corn" (aka unicorn)...what more could a girl want?
I am so grateful for this spunky little CRAZY girl who keeps me on my toes ALL THE TIME!  She has not always been the easiest child, but she is soooooooooo wonderfully special and needed in this family!  There is no one like her!  She "puts the color inside of my world!"  LOVE YOU INFINITY LU!  You make me soooooooooo happy!
