Naptime???

I decided yesterday that I was done battling with Lu to get her to take a nap. No more would I fight with her for 2 hours of peace and quiet while I tried to get my typing done. Today I geared up for getting any work in with this busy body awake all day. Well, when it was time for me to work, Emme went down for her nap, I got Mae and Lu a snack and put a show on for them. A little while later Mae came over and told me Lu was asleep. WHAT????? and I just had to snap a picture of this little cutie all crashed out on the couch! In true Lu form, the day I don't try to get her to sleep--she does it all by herself, no problem at all! Love this little girl and the unpredictable pleasures she brings to my life!

Few more *printables*

Here are a few more printables I've made recently for the girlies and thought I'd share...Happy Monday!

Night out with my Lu!

Friday night I was lucky enough to get a "girls night out"--even better because it was with Lu. This was really the first time I've gone out besides a quick trip to the store or something just me and Lu and I was soooooooooo excited to spend a little one-on-one with my spunky little 2 year-old. Being the child that she is I knew a movie would not work for her. We decided that we would go out to dinner, dessert at Farr's Fresh for some ice cream (because what girls night out is complete without ice cream???) and finish off a the dollar store for a special prize (can I just point out how much I truly LOVE the dollar store? I am constantly AMAZED at what $1 can actually buy!). We had daddy snap a quick picture before we left for our fun night! I didn't take my camera into the restaurant, but Lu wanted french fries and a corn dog, so we hit up one of my favorites in town, Country Grub. She was so exited to sit in the booth with me eating her food (actually mostly her fry sauce and ketchup) and her root beer. There is a TV in the restaurant and our booth was right by it and "Dancing with the Stars" was on. Lu was so cute watching this and every once in a while would bust out a move of her own...what a cutie!

After dinner, on the way to the ice cream store, we passed Lu's favorite thing in Vernal--the PINK dinosaur! We always wave and say "hello" as we drive by, but being our special night tonight, I flipped a U-y and turned around so Lu could get her picture taken by her "pretty" dinosaur. She was a little nervous when we got up to it because it is A LOT bigger than it looks when you just drive by. As we walked up to it, she kept making sure that it in fact was a "nice" dinosaur and wasn't going "bite" her. I snapped one quick picture of just her cuz she was a little unsure of the whole thing and got one of both of us. The dinosaurs eyes move and when Lu saw that, that was it--all she could talk about the rest of the time!

After the grand adventure with the dinosaur, we hit up Farr's Fresh. The only stipulation Lu had on what kind she wanted, is that it HAD to be "pink." We were in luck! She got raspberry ice cream and pointed out what kind of goodies she wanted on it.

She thought it was way cool to take bites for the camera and then even cooler was dancing to the music they had on and making sure I was taking some pictures of her!

What a DOLL! I love my little "Wild Child" sooooooooo much! Thanks for a GREAT girl's night out Lu!

My girlies

I finally got around to taking some pictures of my three little beauties--and I just LOVE how they turned out! Mae and Lu are both at that stage where it is exciting and fun to get their pictures taken and both relished the chance to hold baby sis--who is just happy whenever she is held. I have been looking and editing this pictures all day and they make my heart sooooooooooo happy! I think I'm definitely going to need to fork up the big bucks to do a canvas gallery wall with these when we get into the house!

Emme 6 months

I know all mothers think they kids are the cutest, but let's be honest, mine really are!..The proof is below. I haven't been as good about taking pictures lately and so with Emme turning SIX whole months tomorrow, I HAD to make sure a get a few of this little sweetie! I am sooooooooo unbelievably grateful for our precious little Em. #3 was our last attempt at having a boy and truly I am so thankful that we didn't and were blessed with this little doll. I cannot imagine not having her as a part of our family. She has completed our family just perfectly. I was talking with some random person the other day and he was saying he has just girls too and with their third baby they did everything "by the book" to get a boy and lo and behold, they ended up with another little girl. He went on to say that his third daughter was his "total sweetie" and didn't know what he'd do if they'd had the little boy they had thought they wanted...and that is exactly how I feel about Em. She is truly such an angel (granted she is being held). She LOVES to snuggle and be with her family. She gives us the BIGGEST smiles and has made all of our lives so happy! The time has absolutely FLOWN by and I cannot seriously believe she is already HALF a YEAR old! So here's a few of my little l0ve-bug Emme. I didn't get a lot of smiles as she was so perplexed by the camera, but I think she looks absolutely darling! Nana and Papa gave her this ADORABLE dress for Christmas and I knew I had to get some pix of her in it before she outgrew it :( sad days!

It still shocks me that I am able to love all my girls sooooooo unbelievably much! Before you have them, you kinda think there is no possible way you will love them as much as you do, not to mention love each of them as much as the next--and that realization has been one of the greatest surprises of being a mother to my BEAUTIFUL girls!

Goodness gracious Emme, how we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you, sweet girl!

LUV YOUR GUTS!

I just had to show off my beautiful flowers my sweetie sent me for Valentine's Day. This was after we had agreed (and he had promised) not to get each other anything with the new house and all the "stuff" we were going to need for it. He broke his promise. But I love him for it! He is such an AMAZING husband and father and I'm so grateful to have him. I am a lucky soul that things didn't turn out the way I thought I wanted them to and I am constantly reminded of that. I remember back in the day praying for things to work out the way I wanted them to then and wondering why Heavenly Father wouldn't give in, what was so bad about my plan. Now I know.

LUV U BABE! (and sorry about you not having any suprises...I am a keeper of my promises)

Big score at the D.I.

Let's be honest--the days of frequently finding long lost treasures at the D.I. are pretty much a rareity... especially when you live in Vernal. I usually start off with high hopes, only to be disappointed by the lack of anything besides, well, basically crap, and leave empty-handed (empty-handed besides my 3 children tagging along). SO you can imagine my thrill when I went there the other day and actually had things (children and my *prizes*) overflowing out my cart when I found these little cuties...

They are both in need of a littel makeover (but really who isn't?) and I have HIGH expectations for them. I have commissioned my ever so crafty friend Lindsay to help when she comes out to visit me- SO stay tuned for the AFTER's coming SOON...

*PRINTABLES*

In anticipation of our new house, I have been making all kinds of signs to hang up for when we actually get in there (fingers crossed for this coming week?). Coby has been sick this week and been heading off to bed early and without him to wrangle me off to sleep AND the distraction of Gray's Anatomy on Netflix (don't even get me started on that drama...) I've been stay up til 1:00, 2:00 and yes even sometimes 3:00 IN THE AM playing on photoshop...Oops! (Morning is such a rude awakening to the faults of this lifestyle) So I've put so much hard work (ok, just mostly LATE nights) into these I thought I'd share them...

(story of my life)

Enjoy kiddos!

Mother's request: Time please slow down.

A Gray's Anatomy marathon has turned into a full out bawl fest after an interuption from my sweet Lu... She has never been a great sleeper (why sleep when you could PLAY???) and usually it ends with frustration on all our parts. BUT tonight when Lu started crying I went in geared up for the usual battle to get her to go back to sleep and I'm so grateful I didn't just let her cry it out tonight...She was so groggy from sleep and asked for "more milk." I caved (I'm a big softie) and when I brought it back into her, she did the CUTEST thing she always does before bed, but in her sleepy little state I found it even more endearing. She kissed one of my cheeks and then turned my face around in her cute little hands, kissed my other cheek and then my lips. As I came back out, it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I HATE how fast the time is fleeting with my precious little girls because I LOVE the time we have now SO much that I just want to freeze it. I feel like I just became a mother with my first precious baby, Mae with those beautiful BIG, inquisitive eyes looking up at me, and now she is almost 4--going on 18. And then I think about my sweet crazy little, toe-headed Lu and her plump little cheeks and THAT grin (if you know her, you know which one I am speaking of) already 2 and making sure she is leaving her *MARK* on the world. And now Miss Em, already HALF a YEAR old with her SWEET open-mouthed ear to ear grin and those cheeks I just cannot stop kissing. While I know we will have so many more wonderful memories, I can't help but love all that we have had and love trying to keep them little for as long as I can.

I'm so tempted to go sneak back into my Lu's room and rock her a little while longer...and then while I'm at it stop in with Mae and Em...
