T-BALL for TWO GIRLS!

We signed the girls up for T-ball and finally in May it started and they could not be more excited!  I knew Lu would love it, but honestly didn't know how Mae would feel about it--and she LOVED it just as much as her sister!  We didn't really know what to expect, but they did so good!  We were so proud of them initially and then more and more as the season went on.  At their first practice, the coach was hitting balls out to have them get them and throw back in and our girls thought this was the coolest thing ever.  They ran from wherever they were and got the ball.  One time, both of them went for it and ended up fighting with each other to get it.  A little boy on the team, was right there and during the struggle Lu lost her hat.  He grabbed it and kept trying to get it back on her head while she continued to battle with her sister for the ball...we were laughing our faces off!  Afterwards, however, we had to have the "you are on the same team" talk.  Each game they improved and loved watching them play.  I think Daddy was especially proud of them, more than with dance and such, and it was so cute to see him work with them and help them.  It was really good for the girls' self confidence too.  They told me multiple times that Coach Ed told them that they "were the best on the team" and it didn't matter where they were, they "always got the ball."  So cute to see them take such an interest in ball!

Can't wait for next season with these two cuties!!!

A few randoms from May...

I swear we have more than one picture of Emme as her hunchback baby.  Somehow she always manages to get stuck right there.

We'll take any excuse we can to build a fort :)

Emme's new thing lately is to tell me especially when we are driving how when she was "in my tummy" she was "my little sunshine."  This picture reminds me of that, driving in the car with the sun on her face...my little sunshine!

We never go very long without someone getting sick and poor Em ended up with another round of it and we are a sucker for all the snuggles she needs...We snuggled for about two days straight, but you won't hear Daddy or I complaining about it...

Pretty girl even when she is as sick as a dog!

Easter!

We made it back from Ogden just in time and the Easter bunny found us!

He made sure to remember their Easter dresses and they were SUPER excited about them!

All cleaned up and ready for church!

I am so thankful for our Savior this Easter and for his sacrifice so that I can be with my sweet family for eternity.  Who wouldn't want to be with these pretty girls?!!

Spring Break semi-stay-vacation

When Spring Break was coming up, Coby suggested that the girls and I go to Ogden and play because he had a busy work schedule and the girls were off of school.  Grandpa and Grandma had already made plans to go on a trip and weren't planning on being back until Easter Sunday and I knew we would want to be back with Coby on Easter.  I decided I did really want to take the girls and do something like a "stay-vacation" but since there isn't too much to do here in Vernal, I decided we would go to Ogden, see whoever we could while we were there, but stay at Grandpa's house and go hit some of the fun stuff they have there.  Our first morning, we decided to go to the Children's Treehouse Museum with Great Grandpa Gary and Grandma Barbara, Capri, Miya and Aspyn...And it was a WHIRLWIND!  The girls had been there before, but it had been awhile and it is so different from anything we have in Vernal.

We had only been there about 15 minutes, and we hit the museum pretty hard...literally. This pic was taken right before this little cowgirl gave herself a slight concussion (NOT kidding) diving off her bucking bronco and passed out cold in my arms :/ and scared the crap out of her mom! Luckily, she rebounded fast, but it was a very scary couple of minutes.  Poor Coby was worrying himself to death being in Vernal, but after a few minutes, she seemed totally fine...so what did we do--we finished the day at the museum--and this little crazy had a BLAST!

After the museum, we went to Chick-Fil-A with everyone, including Grandma Laurie before she left for her trip...

It doesn't matter where we are, these kids are happy to be together...

And have ICE CREAM!

Later that day, just the girls and I went to Rio 2 at a real movie theatre! (I'm not sure Vernal's really counts as "real") And they LOVED it!  It was Emme's first real movie adventure so I made sure to go to a matinee where not a lot of people would be there and she did really good.  She wondered around for a little bit and tried out different seats, but all in all it was a success!  (She also broke a thing of BRIGHT red nail polish all over Ulta's floor, so she had been busy ALL day long, starting with a concussion!)  That night at Grandpa Frank's, it was just me and the girls.  I decided to put Mae and Lu in the other upstairs bedroom, Emme in the hallway and me in my regular room.  I wanted to leave the door open to the hallway so I could keep checking on Emme and make sure she was alive after her little stunt earlier.  Well, Mae and Lu were not used to being there without Grandma and Grandpa, and they freaked out and were "so scared!"  SO, then ended up in my room, in my bed, while I slept on the floor in between them and the hallway where Emme was so I could keep checking on her...Whew!  What a DAY!

The next day, lacking in sleep or not, we decided to go to the new Aquarium with Great Grandma and Grandpa, Ashlee, Ben, Luke and Jake, and Miya and Aspyn since Capri couldn't come with us that day.  We tried for awhile, but with so many of us, and about a million people there, this was the BEST and only pic I got of the Aquarium.  The girls loved it, but with it being so new, a lot of the exhibits weren't open yet...but they did give us a ticket to come back so hopefully we will be able to see the rest.

After that we went to the Zoo, because what trip to SLC would be complete without it where we got to ride the carousel as many times as we wanted!  And had an awesome day!
That night, the girls got to have a sleepover with Miya at Grandpa Gary's and Grandma Barbara's and even Emme got to participate and I'm sure they were their silly selves!

It was a SUPER fun little trip and we had an absolute BLAST!  BUT it was time to go home to Daddy...and the EASTER BUNNY!  What a fun Spring Break with me and my girls :)
