Knott's Berry Farm

Saturday morning we woke up and got ready to go to our first stop on the trip Knott's Berry Farm.  The rest of our group wasn't getting there until Sunday, but we definitely didn't want to miss out on anything.  As you can tell the girls were SUPER excited!
Daddy and Em getting ready to go.  Poor Em had her ups and downs with her little bug, but was always such a sweetie :)
 Who could resist that smile?!!!

Mae and Lu absolutely LOVED every single ride!  We could hardly make it from one ride to the next fast enough!  Luckily the lines were great, so our impatient little girls didn't have to wait long!

One thing I hadn't planned on was just how excited the girls got when they saw the characters...even ones they didn't know very well!  They have only watched Charlie Brown a couple times, but when they saw these guys they went CRAZY!  Since we were there right before Halloween they were all dressed up in costumes and they had little Halloween trick or treating activities for the girls.  Perfect timing.

We hit just about every ride and worked up quite the appetite...obviously.  Oh Lu, whatever she does, she does in a BIG way.  Hence, the BIG mess.  Gotta love it.

We could not have asked for a better day at Knott's Berry Farm!  We were able to do everything we wanted and it was pretty relaxed and totally wonderful!  Lines were great and the girls had an UNBELIEVABLY great time!

CALIFORNIA TRIP!!! On our way...

In October, my awesome parents decided to get anyone who could a trip to Disneyland and surrounding areas for Christmas and we got right on board with that!  Seeing as Coby and our girls had never been to Disneyland and our girls are OBSESSED with all things princess we were pretty excited!  It ended up being my parents, our family, my grandparents and the Cheney family who could go.  We wished everyone could have been there, but regardless, we had a total BLAST!  Exhausting, but a BLAST!

We flew out on Friday October 12th and had quite the eventful flight.  Coby had mentioned to me earlier that day that Emme felt a little warm to him, but I hadn't noticed it and she had acted fine all day.  Well, we pull up to the curb at the Salt Lake Airport to unload all our stuff and as soon as we open the door to the car, Emme pukes in her carseat.  Awesome.  Seeing how we needed to check her carseat for the trip, it was even more awesome.  We grabbed our pukey little baby and I found as many wipes as I could quickly clean it as best I could and very awkwardly handed our stinky, puke soaked carseat to the baggage clerk.  Sorry dude.  I felt unbelievably embarrased and horrible at the thought of those poor men handling that toxic safety seat.  Once we got all checked in and un-puked on baggage checked, I took our little sicky to the mother's portion of the bathroom, chucked all of her vomit-tainted clothes and gave her a makeshift sink bath so she wouldn't reek up the whole plane.  While we waited to board, you would not believe this ever pleasant baby had just puked all over.  She was running ALL OVER, making friends with EVERYONE she saw.  The rest of the flight went uneventful (thankfully) and even more thankfully our hotel we stayed at that night had a washer and dryer so we could take care of Emme's stinky little carseat.

Lu and daddy waiting to get on the plane.
Mae and daddy happy to be ON OUR WAY!

When we got to California it was LATE and poor little Lu was TIRED.  She'd have to be tired to crash in my arms...gotta admit, I did not hate snuggling with this little blondie.
When we got to the hotel it was about 2:00 in the morning and our "sick" little Emme was still going strong.  She was still running around like crazy and being soooooooooooooooooo silly!  We were cracking up.  Little did we know, she really was sick, but she was just super punchy and probably a little delirious!  It wouldn't be a family trip without someone getting sick :/  It was still a TOTALLY AWESOME trip!  Stay tuned...
